Musical Experience
Influence by the great Chopin, Ludy started learning the classical piano in Holland, then later after migrating to Australia undertook voice and piano studies at the Qld Conservatorium of Music.

During this period Ludy fulfilled his ‘dream’ by combining the magnificent and majestic classical/operatic with the beautiful and heart throbbing popular melodies and accompaniments.

The coming together of these two styles was ‘launched’ through the recording of Ludy’s originals ‘SHE IS CALLING ME AWAY’ (recorded on record with Plaisir d’Amour on B-side), I’D LIKE TO KNOW’, CHRISTMAS SONG’ and ‘THAT’S MY MUM’ as well as his major production of ‘An Evening of Beautiful Music with Ludy and the Queensland Pops Orchestra conducted by Colin Harper with special Guest Artist DONALD SMITH OBE. Venue: the Concert Hall of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

Ludy - his story...

One evening at seven years of age Dutch-Indonesian-Swiss-Italian born Ludy Charles Sweeris-Sigrist was ‘lured’ out of his bed by a most attractive and beautiful music and melody on television only to listen to and watch this amazing singer perform a European hit song at the time. Only little did he know that the effect of the combination of the melody, lyrics and accompaniment would follow and touch his soul all through his life.

From Rocco Granata 1960’s hit ‘Buona, buona notte’ in the Netherlands to John Williamson’s ‘Waltzing Matilda’ in Australia Ludy has developed his art as a Musician, Singer and Entertainer like no other.

The credits of his artistic and musical background as a singer, musician, actor, producer, his ability to captivate his listeners with multi-lingual renditions of many songs, as well as his qualifications as a teacher in voice and as a classroom music specialist make Ludy that musician, singer and entertainer of exceptional talent which consequently extends his popularity to people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
